Music

We have a very active music program here at Good Shepherd

The Muse of Music at Work

Singing in the choir. Ringing with the Handbells. I wonder, could I ever do that? I have some musical experience: Hah! I took piano lessons for two years.

And I love music: I love how music adds to my worship experience. Could I be a part of that wonderful beauty?

Would the veterans welcome me and accept me just because I want to be part of what they do? Would they be patient with me as I learn or re-learn what I forgot?

Well, how did the choir get started? And how did new folks get added? What about the Handbells? Same thing. Hmmm. Maybe after Easter would be a good time to try it out. It's a limited risk and a limited commitment. Maybe I could try to come to a rehearsal and just see if it's for me. Let's see, Choir on Wednesday at 7:30 pm?..

Hand Bells on Thursday at 7:30 pm?. Maybe I'll try out both and see what fits. :)

Adult Choir

Good Shepherd Choir rehearses every Wednesday at 7:30pm.  We generaly break for summer.  New members are enthusiastically welcomed.

Children's Choir

Our Youth choir is currently meeting on Wednesday afternoons from 4:30pm. (out for Summer break--please watch home page for start-up date announcement :)

We also started a Vineyard Preschool Youth Choir also which meets at 3:30pm on Wednesdays.

Our recently acquired handchimes are perfect for children who are ready to learn and contribute musically. They play just the same as handbells but are more durable and easier to handle.

Handbell Choir

Our Handbell Choir rehearses on Thursday nights at 7:30pm. Try it, you'll probably like it.

StringWind

This group plays a wide variety of music utilizing many different instruments such as guitar, harp, violin, recorder, flute, piano, etc. ... We foster new/young musicians in an encouraging group environment.
